The Balloon Red Eye Tetra is a selectively bred, ornamental variety of the Red Eye Tetra, distinguished by its round, "balloon" shape and vibrant red eyes. These peaceful, schooling fish have a bright silver body with a black and white-edged base of the tail, and a distinct red eye. They are relatively easy to care for and enjoy being kept in groups of at least six in a community tank with other peaceful, similarly sized fish.
