Red Peacock Cichlids are a vibrant and popular variety of African cichlid, known for their striking red coloration and active personalities. They are not a naturally occurring species, but rather a selectively bred color form of Aulonocara cichlids, often derived from the Aulonocara jacobfreibergi species according to Whitlyn Aquatics. These cichlids are generally peaceful but can be territorial, especially males.
