Thomsonite is a rare zeolite, and it is particularly rare to find with this deep orange coloration and outer growth of mesolite spikes. The matrix and surrounding minerals includes near-champagne colored heulandite crystals, in addition to the excellent orange thomsonite balls and hair-thin mesolite structures.
The pocket this discovery comes from is depleted. It is unlikely that it will ever be discovered again.
