African Violets are a staple indoor plant, staying small and producing colorful flowers year round indoors! These vibrant blooms will bring life and a pop of color to any space. While the plants are easy to grow and care for, growing them from seed makes for a great gardening challenge!
*Warning*: these seeds are very tiny, practically specks of dust! Make sure to open the envelope over a white sheet of paper to catch the seeds.
These seeds grow slowly, so we recommend using the following to sow the seeds:
Fertilize potting mix with diluted liquid fertilizer prior to sowing and continue watering with diluted fertilizer as the seedlings grow. Sow the seeds on the surface of the soil, keep soil moist and cover with a humidity dome to maintain moisture levels. Keep warm, >70F and away from direct sun. If using a grow light, place the planter ~10in away from the light and keep the lights on for 10hrs a day.
