The Bloody Mary Dwarf Shrimp is a stunning species that is often compared to the Red Cherry Shrimp. However, unlike the Cherry Shrimp, its flesh is also a vibrant shade of red, not just its outer shell. One way to differentiate this variety is by noticing its shorter rostrum in comparison to the Cherry Shrimp.
It is recommended to keep shrimp separate from other species to prevent cross-breeding that typically results in brown, muddled offspring.
Average purchase size is 1/2 inch or so.

Neocaridina are among the hardiest Dwarf shrimp species; nevertheless, you should take great care to cycle your tank well, and avoid ammonia and nitrate/nitrite spikes. Heavily planting your tank will help with this!
Our shrimp are used to hard Kansas water, and kept in Walstad tanks at room temperatures.
