Pinguicula macrophylla is a perennial heterophyllous species, that produces a bulb-like rosette during winter of about 30-45 tightly packed small leaves and about 2-6 bigger leaves during summer. Pinguicula macrophylla is native to Guanajuato, México and was first described in 1817. The epithet, macrophylla, is derived from the Greek makros (large) and phyllon (leaf).
You'll get a similar plant to the ones in the picture. Please note that some plants are greener than others.
The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plants. We ship the plants on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.
The plant's sizes are: When the plant is in dormancy it becomes a bulb of about 0.15-0.25" in diameter. You may get a bulb in your order if the plants are in their succulent phase.
