Glass Grown Aquatics
A well-known aquatic stem plant that is both simple to grow and attractive in an aquascape is Bacopa Caroliniana (Lemon Bacopa). The plant is generally green with thick, succulent-like leaves and has a good smell similar to lemon fragrance, but with the addition of iron and micronutrients, the tips of new growth can take on reddish undertones.
Because it is resilient and does not require CO2 injection, this plant can be excellent for beginners. It does prefer a nutrient-rich environment and clean water. Cuttings are used for propagation, and they quickly take root in the substrate. The stems can be cultivated either submerged or immersed.
Our latest blog post explores this aquatic stem plant. Check it out here!
