Pinguicula emarginata is a perennial homophyllous species, producing one type of leaf throughout the year. The epithet emarginata is derived from the Latin emarginatus (notched), and refers to the strongly notched petal margins. It was first discovered in 1968 in Puebla, Mex.

The plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect them. We ship the plants on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.
These plants are between 1 to 2 inches across.
Butterworts have been growing under LED lights with temperatures of 75~80 during the day and 55~70 at night.
